My fourth crafting club meeting

Finally the time came for our crafty Saturdays, to be honest it was more like a crafty Sunday but it was pleasant as usual. We were quite a few joining this time and the variety of crafts was better than usual! We had a bunch working with cards and scrapbooking, some jewelcrafting, decoration, knitting and sewing. It was a very nice day and of course we had dinner at Svenska Sushihuset afterwards. It’s a part of the tradition and their food is delicious!

I managed to make one card during the day, and I can’t say I’m very proud over that achievement but luckily I didn’t bring too much materials to the meeting. Only scrapbooking related items and a few beads.

Yesterday I baked Chocolate Chip Cookies for today and they are SOOO delicious! I made quite a few and ended up with some spare cookies.. poor me, hehe. Anyway, I really want to make more of them since they are so tasty and I want to share it with everyone I know. I hope there will be some birthday events or something soon that I can use as an excuse to make them again. Don’t they look awesome?

Yummy!

The Chrismas Crafts of 2010

Christmas and the New Year celebrations are over. I finally have some time to update all the things I made for Christmas!

I hope this year will bring lots of crafting and inspiration to you all!

So, here are some pictures. I mostly made candy, I love making Christmas candy! I didn’t have time to make as much as I use to but it was more than enough anyway! Enjoy!

Sprinkles (I did not make them, they just look nice)

Rocky Road

Chocolate dipped marshmallows

A ginger bread house for granny, made by my brother

Christmas candy for granny, truffles with a taste of orange (cointreau) and chocolate covered marzipan and nougat (they were just too good, my favorite!)

Toffee, or knäck as we call it in Sweden!

And last but not least, some crafting. Cards and gift wrapping! I spent a day just wrapping up gifts together with Malin, Jen and Tricks. We had some sushi at the end of the day and Malin’s car had to be digged out from the parking lot, the amount of snow is just ridiculous. I was tempted to throw myself in, it looked so nice and soft.. and.. much and as far as I remember it’s fun to play in the snow!

All gifts wrapped up and looking neat. I went crazy with the decorative sticks.. he he..

The Christmas cards of 2010! Much better than last year ;)

Crafty Saturdays

So this Saturday was one of my favorite ones, the ones where Malin and I go crafting with Jen and Tricks and Trick’s sister. So far it’s only been us five but I joined this secret crafting club a few months ago. I think there are a few more ladies who use to join them but the two times I’ve been there they have had other plans.

I spent the first Saturday trying to understand my new sewing machine, a Singer Curvy 8763. After a few hours I managed to create one of the shopping bags I posted a while ago. I had other plans for the day such as making some jeweleries and maybe sew something else. I brought most of my pearls, lots of fabric and a pair of pants I never finished. I barely touched any of those things. I underestimated how time consuming things actually are and time just passed by.
You might think I learned something for our next meeting and brought less unneeded items?
Well, I kind of did but there were still a bit too much crafting to do than what the time would allow me to. I managed to create one item, a very awesome and epic item, but I was, of course, hoping to be a bit more time efficient.

Since the super awesome item is a gift for a friend, I won’t post it here until she has received it. And I have a few more things to finish before the gift is complete. It’s going to be the best gift ever! Or at least one of the best.

I’ll keep you updated!
