My youngest cousin turns 4 tomorrow and I was invited to a birthday party today. I made him this card to go with the gift and he liked it (maybe a superhero card would have been more interesting, but I had no inspiration for that yesterday ;-) )
My brother’s girlfriend got a quick look at the card and said “What a cute rhino!” and Lukas quickly replied with “It’s a hippo!” and then he opened the card and asked my mum to read the inside. He usually just rip off the wrapping and ignore the cards so I was very surprised that he wanted to hear the inside too! I’ll have to write something nice next time I think.

So yesterday we went to our aunt to celebrate Easter with the family and to celebrate her youngest daughter who turns 14 on Tuesday. My two youngest cousins were there too and I made them Easter bags with some chocolate and soft bubble bottles, I’m trying not to give them too much candy as their parents try to keep them away from sugar. I gave them handmade bags last year too with a small treasure hunting quest for the older boy. This year I made a trail with chocolate eggs for them to follow. They were super happy!
The bags are something I got from some kits and they’ve been lying around for a while now.. happy to get to use them and some other stuff in my stash! I found some fun challenges to enter with these bags too!
A few of the items from my stash: the shaped buttons (helicopter and police car), bubble stickers and a butterfly sticker I found in Berlin at Karstadt I believe. The buttons were a part of the Christmas calendar I got from my mother last Christmas, they have this ring on the backside which I cut off and that caused the button to fall apart! Glued it all together again and adhered it with some glue dots.
A closeup on the bunny, colored with pro- and flexmarkers. I colored the bow with a darker blue first and added a brighter shade on top, gives a nice touch!
And here is the birthday card for my other cousin who turns 14. Inspired by the Sweet stop sketch #204 So happy I got to use both some alphabet stickers and a few brads from my stash.
Least but not last I also finished off some cards to go with a few angels my other aunt ordered.
I have been waiting and longing for this weekend just so I can sit in my closet and craft for hours again. And do some cleaning and cooking of course. Crafting yesterday went extremely slow, I was a bit low on inspiration and slow to start up but managed to make a few cards. The goal was to make happy Easter cards and that didn’t go very well. I did however make two birthday cards for upcoming birthdays in March.
This one is for my granny who turns 79 this year! Inspired by Mojo Monday #282 and Ladybug crafts current challenge. The numbers are actually colored with chalk mist since I only had bigger white letters and numbers that would fit. I have a few other colors but I never ever have a card where they match with the colors.. but they are nice to look at!
I made this for my brother who is turning 23.. And now when it’s finished it feels more fit for a kid than a 20 something so I might add it to my growing pile of cards and make another one for him, more fit for his age.
My cousin Lukas turns two years today so I’m heading to a birthday party in a few hours and of course, I made a card for him. I only used paper from my scrap stash this time and I got to use some of my washi tapes and alphabet stickers/thickers. As always when I have a card to make I take a look at the ongoing challenges, this is the layout from Mojo Monday #276.
