I made a few quick and easy birthday cards a few days ago using distress inks, stamps, dies and some sequins.
The color strokes are stamped using the stamp set “Color Wash” by Pink Paislee. The die is from Mama Elephant.
My mother’s husband celebrated his birthday last weekend and I made him a glittery birthday card. I just love these glitter papers eventhough they are quite tricky to punch or die cut through. They are from DCWV and I think the glittery layer is of some sort of plastic which makes it harder to get through. As you can see on the closup the edges aren’t all that pretty and even but it is what it is, the card was appreciated!
I created the card based on the layout challenge this week at clean & simple stamping and I got several ideas for other variations for that layout, I’m just waiting for my vacation to start so I have some time to make them!
– Basic white cards, I purchase them finished with an envelope
– Glittery paper from DCWV
– Rhinestones from different brands
– Basic black cardstock
– Grattis-die from RoxStamps
– Sizzix circle dies
– Circle punches
– Corner punch
– Tape and glue
