Phone number cards

I recently changed my phone number so I thought I’d send a card to those who usually call me at home. They are quite few, but why not make a card instead of send a boring text message or e-mail?

I made some sketches of the card at work and when I tried to find a nice image of a telephone to use I stumbled upon an image of me, talking on the phone. I will be interesting to see if anyone will call to check who it’s from. I surely hope my mum and dad can recognize their daughter tho.

Anyway, pictures!

Theme 68: Birth

A card for my new born cousin. There’s something about the card I don’t like but I’m not sure what yet. The stamp is colored with aquarelle pencils, a technique I fell in love with.
I’ve always loved my “color books” I had when I was a kid. I used crayons, pencils, felt-tipped pens and water color. Basically whatever I had lying around. I’ve never really used aquarelle pencils before, except for one time in school I barely remember. The only thing I think could beat aquarelle at this point is copic markers. Veronica showed me a few youtube videos and they look amazing. Amazing and quite expensive. I think I’ll stick to aquarelle for a while.

Anyway, here’s the card for my new cousin. I don’t know his name yet, but I’ll keep calling him Theresius until it’s decided ;)

My thought was to make some sort of “Welcome to the world” card but then this idea/sketch got stuck in my head. The card says “Congratulations, it’s another boy”.

I think I’ll make a second baby card for the introduction/beginnings theme later on unless I get another, better idea!

My fourth crafting club meeting

Finally the time came for our crafty Saturdays, to be honest it was more like a crafty Sunday but it was pleasant as usual. We were quite a few joining this time and the variety of crafts was better than usual! We had a bunch working with cards and scrapbooking, some jewelcrafting, decoration, knitting and sewing. It was a very nice day and of course we had dinner at Svenska Sushihuset afterwards. It’s a part of the tradition and their food is delicious!

I managed to make one card during the day, and I can’t say I’m very proud over that achievement but luckily I didn’t bring too much materials to the meeting. Only scrapbooking related items and a few beads.

Yesterday I baked Chocolate Chip Cookies for today and they are SOOO delicious! I made quite a few and ended up with some spare cookies.. poor me, hehe. Anyway, I really want to make more of them since they are so tasty and I want to share it with everyone I know. I hope there will be some birthday events or something soon that I can use as an excuse to make them again. Don’t they look awesome?

Yummy!
